Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic has seriously impacted the psychological well-being of the teenager and is often undiagnosed. This study aimed to increase general knowledge about mental disorders and screening for depression among high school students at Parisada High School, Amlapura District, Karangasem Regency.

Methods: This study was an observational study with a cross-sectional design. The activity began with screening the Parisada Senior High School students, Amlapura, by filling in the Children Depression Inventory (CDI) questionnaire. This CDI is used to assess the tendency to depression in children aged 7-17.  After obtaining the screening results from the Parisada Senior High School students, Amlapura continued with the dissemination activities to students of the Parisada Senior High School, Amlapura. Analysis was carried out using descriptive analysis to evaluate the proportion of each variable.

Results: In this study, out of a total of 65 respondents, 40 were male respondents (61,5%) and 25 were female respondents (38.5%). Respondents were between 15 and 20 years of age, with the highest percentage being 16 (41.54%) and the lowest at 19 (1.54%). Based on the scoring results of the CDI questionnaire available, CDI test results score ≥ 20 of 6 respondents (9.2%), CDI < 20 of 59 respondents (90.8%).

Conclusion: Depression in teenagers exists and needs attention. We hope they are more interested in their mental health.
