Karakteristik pasien tuberkulosis paru dengan multidrug-resistance di Rumah Sakit Pusat Dr. Kariadi Semarang tahun 2021-2022


Background: The incidence and prevalence of pulmonary multidrug-resistance tuberculosis (MDR-TB) tends to increase from year to year, including in Indonesia. This is because pulmonary MDR-TB transmission is very fast in all levels of society. This study aims to determine the characteristics of pulmonary MDR-TB patients at RSUP Dr. Kariadi, Semarang

Method: Quantitative research using a cross-sectional approach was carried out involving 76 people who were pulmonary MDR-TB patients at Dr. RSUP. Kariadi, Semarang in 2021-2022. The sample was selected using the total sampling method. Secondary data in the form of electronic medical records at RSUP Dr. Kariadi, Semarang in the period January 2021 to December 2022 was used as the main data and analyzed using SPSS version 26 software.

Result: Our analysis showed that most of the pation with pulmonary MDR-TB were adult patients aged 20-60 years (65.8%), male (55.3%), and suffering from malnutrition (46.1%).

Conclusion: the characteristics of pulmonary MDR-TB patients at RSUP Dr. Kariadi, Semarang in 2021-2022 is dominated by adult patients, male, and suffering from malnutrition.


Latar Belakang: Kejadian tuberkulosis-multidrug-resistance (TB-MDR) paru dari tahun ke tahun cenderung meningkat termasuk di Indonesia. Hal ini dikarenakan transmisi TB-MDR paru sangat cepat pada semua kalangan masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui karakteristik pasien TB-MDR paru di RSUP Dr. Kariadi, Semarang

Metode: Penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional dilakukan dengan melibatkan 76 orang yang merupakan pasien TB-MDR paru di RSUP Dr. Kariadi, Semarang tahun 2021-2022. Sampel dipilih dengan metode total sampling. Data sekunder berupa rekam medis elektronik di RSUP Dr. Kariadi, Semarang pada periode Januari 2021 sampai Desember 2022 digunakan sebagai data utama dan dianalisis menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS versi 26.

Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa mayoritas pasien dengan TB-MDR paru merupakan pasien dewasa berumur 20-60 tahun (65,8%), berjenis kelamin laki-laki (55,3%), dan menderita malnutrisi (46,1%).

Kesimpulan: Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah karakteristik pasien TB-MDR paru di RSUP Dr. Kariadi, Semarang tahun 2021-2022 didominasi oleh pasien dewasa, berjenis kelamin laki-laki, dan menderita malnutrisi.
